Check the adjusting gear journal on the micro plug for wear.

Check the tooth form on the gears for distortion and wear. Check gear bushings for wear. Gears should fit on the journal they came off of with approximately .002/.005 clearance. If the tooth form is good but the bushing is worn, the bushing is replaceable. The gear can be returned to Salvo to be rebushed.

The drive gears need to be checked for tooth form and wear as well as the drive lugs. If the I.D. of the drive gear is worn, the gear must be replaced.
